2016-03-22

ABB, as a pioneering technology leader, contributed to a recently published report by AIG highlighting companies that are implementing innovative technologies tied to the IoT ecosystem. The report, “IoT Case Studies: Companies Leading the Connected Economy,” showcases eleven case studies of companies from a broad range of industries. Read the report here.

The focus of ABB in the report is Predictive Maintenance for Heavy Industry, where ABB provides new strategies and services for improved efficiency and productivity.

ABB has spent more than a decade developing and enhancing control systems, communications solutions, sensors and software in closed installations—the so-called Industrial Intranet. By enabling these installations to communicate via the Internet, and then extending with advanced Services connected to People, ABB is leading the way to advanced predictive maintenance solutions with the Internet of Things, Services, and People (IoTSP). Find our more about IoTSP here.

Highlighting the relevance of the IoTSP and pioneering technologies in all its customer segments - utilities, industry, and transportation and infrastructure - ABB will make the IoTSP tangible and understandable through showcasing real-life, customer-focused solutions at this year’s Hannover Messe, the world’s largest industrial trade fair.
